Brand kit and assets
Two ways to carry a brand from project to project. A brand kit is a file of everything that styles your work, to send to a colleague or keep as a backup. Brand assets are the brand's logos and pictures, kept with its design system so every project that follows it has them.
Brand kits
A brand kit holds a project's saved colors, fonts, text styles, materials, scene looks and motion tokens. It holds no layers: it's the style, not the scene.
Export a kit
- Open a project with the colors, styles and materials you want.
- Choose Menu › Brand kit › Export kit….
The file downloads as brand-kit.paraplex.json. With nothing saved in the project yet, Paraplex says so: save a color, a text style or a material first.
Import a kit
- Choose Menu › Brand kit › Import kit….
- Pick the file.
Everything in it is added to the project by name. A color or style with the same name as one you have is updated, so layers linked to it follow.
Tip
For a brand you'll use in many projects, save it as a design system instead: Menu › Library… › Design systems › Import tokens… takes a brand kit too. See Design systems.
Brand assets
Logos, product shots and imagery that belong to a brand go in its brand assets, kept once with the design system rather than copied into each project.
- Use a design system in the project. See Design systems.
- Choose Menu › Design system › Brand assets….
- Click Add files… and pick your logos and pictures.

Click an asset to place it in the scene. Every project that follows the brand sees the same assets.
Note
An SVG logo is stored as a picture, so it can look soft when scaled up large. For a crisp logo, bring the SVG in as vectors. See SVG and vectors.
