Paraplex Privacy Policy

1. Who we are and what this covers

Effective date: October 10th, 2026

Paraplex Digital LLC ("Paraplex," "we," "us") makes Paraplex, a 3D motion design and animation app that runs in the browser. This policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the app at app.paraplex.ai, our website at www.paraplex.ai, published embeds, and our support channels (together, the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have.

We are the controller of the personal information described here. When you use the Service for an organization, that organization may have its own policies about your use.

We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

2. What we collect

We collect what you give us, what the Service records as you use it, and a little from partners like Stripe.

Please don't put sensitive personal information (such as health, financial account or government ID details) into projects or prompts. The Service isn't designed for it.

3. How we use it

We use personal information only for the purposes below. For people in the EEA and UK, the right-hand column is the legal basis we rely on.

We don't use your information to make decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you based solely on automated processing.

4. Your projects, AI features and product improvement

Your projects are private by default. Only you can see a project unless you publish an embed, create a share link or submit it to the community gallery. Published and shared work can be seen by anyone with access to it.

AI requests. When you use an AI Feature, we send your prompt and the parts of your project needed for the request to the AI provider that runs it (section 5). The provider returns the result, which we save to your project.

Your own API keys. If you add your own key, requests made with it go to that provider under your own account and their privacy policy. We store your key only to make those requests which remains encrypted at rest, and delete it when you remove it.

Improving Paraplex. We may use your projects, prompts, AI outputs and usage data to fix bugs, develop features, and improve the Service, including the AI assistant. Where practical, we use aggregated or de-identified data, and access to individual projects is limited to staff who need it for these purposes. This doesn't change who owns your work.

We may use projects to train or fine-tune AI models that power Paraplex. You can opt out anytime in Settings, and we'll stop using your future content for training.

5. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the service providers that help us run Paraplex, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing services to us, and in the situations listed below the table.

We also share information:

When you choose to, for example by publishing an embed, sharing a link or submitting to the gallery.
For legal reasons, when we believe in good faith it's required by law or legal process, or needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our users, the public or Paraplex.
In a business transfer, such as a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. We'll tell you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage (such as local storage) to keep you signed in, remember your settings, keep the app working, and protect against fraud. Stripe sets its own cookies on checkout pages to prevent fraud.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but parts of the Service, such as staying signed in, may stop working. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of any sale or sharing of personal information.

7. How long we keep it

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy.

We may keep information longer where the law requires it or to resolve disputes. De-identified data that can't reasonably be linked back to you may be kept longer.

8. Security

We use reasonable safeguards to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls that limit who can see user data, and payment processing through Stripe so card numbers never reach our servers.

No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires. Keep your password private, and tell us right away at support@paraplex.ai if you think your account has been compromised.

9. Your rights and choices

For everyone. You can view and edit your account details in the app, export your projects, unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in each one, and delete your account anytime in Settings or by emailing support@paraplex.ai.

Depending on where you live, including California and other US states with privacy laws, and the EEA, UK and Switzerland, you may also have the right to:

know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
correct information that's wrong;
delete your information;
receive your information in a portable format;
object to or restrict certain uses, including use based on our legitimate interests;
withdraw consent where we rely on it, without affecting earlier use;
opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information, or of targeted advertising (we don't do either);
not be treated differently for using these rights.

How to ask. Email support@paraplex.ai with "Privacy request" in the subject. We'll verify your identity, usually by confirming you control your account's email, and respond within the time the law requires, generally 30 to 45 days. You can use an authorized agent where the law allows. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision, and we'll explain the outcome.

In the EEA, UK or Switzerland, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

10. International transfers

Paraplex is based in the United States, and we and our service providers process information in the US and other countries. Those countries may have different data protection laws from yours. When we transfer personal information from the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or our providers' certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

11. Children

The Service isn't intended for children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us personal information, email support@paraplex.ai and we'll delete it.

12. Changes and contact

We may update this policy as Paraplex changes. We'll post the new version here with its effective date, and for material changes we'll tell you by email or in the app before they take effect.
