01

AI

An assistant that edits your scene with the editor's own tools, plus generators for pictures, 3D models, rooms, clips and sound.

The assistant

Describe a scene, a change or an animation and the assistant builds it with the editor's own layers, keyframes, camera moves and materials.

Apply or Discard · one undo step

Start with a sentence

Type what you want on the home page and click Make it. A new 1920×1080 file opens and the assistant builds the scene in real layers.

Edit by hand or by asking

ElevenLabs voices

Type a script and pick a voice and pace. The voiceover lands as an audio track with a caption on each word, timed from the voice.

Shorts, Documentary, Subtitle and Spoken captions

Video-to-video restyle

An AI video model restyles 5 or 10 seconds of your scene to a description, keeping its layout and motion. It lands as a video layer over the original.

Draft to Best 1080p · Close, Balanced or Loose

Also in AI

  • Director mode

For bigger pieces, the assistant writes a plan and a storyboard of stills for you to approve, then builds section by section.

  • The assistant checks its own work

It renders the piece at up to six moments, checks that everything is in frame, type is readable and key moments land, then fixes what it finds.

  • Build from references

Attach a photo, screenshot or video; a video is read as time-labeled frames, so the build can follow its timing.

  • Feedback threads and Point at it

Comment on layers as threads, or click layers and drag a box over the frame to show the assistant what you mean.

  • Assistant skills

Built-in craft skills plus your own: upload one in the Agent Skills format, create one from your brand, or have the assistant write it.

  • Dictation and model choice

Speak a prompt instead of typing it, and choose which model the assistant runs on and how much effort it spends.

  • Your own API keys

Add your own Anthropic key for the assistant and your own ElevenLabs key for voiceovers.

  • Generate images

Pictures tuned for the job: photo, background, texture, overlay, icon (as real SVG vectors) or illustration.

  • Generate 3D models from text

Describe an object and get a lit 3D model layer in about 30 seconds to a few minutes.

  • Generate walkable 3D rooms

    A room from a description, a photo or a 360° panorama, as a Gaussian splat world you walk through with W A S D.

  • Animate a picture

Turn any still into a short video clip at Draft, Standard or Best quality.

  • AI sound effects and music

Describe a sound or a music bed with a length, and it arrives as an audio track.

02

Templates and editor

Finished templates to start from, and a complete motion design editor in the browser with nothing to install.

  • Motion design templates

62 finished templates in 13 categories, each saying what to swap in: words, pictures, logo, colors, data, music, video or voice.

  • Slideshow, carousel and filmstrip starters

Card stacks, sliders, filmstrips, a parallax gallery and a warp-drive intro in dark glass and chrome, ready for your content.

  • Community gallery

Pieces other people made and shared, sorted by Newest, Most used or Featured; Use as template opens your own editable copy.

  • Save as template

Publish any scene as your own template with a name, description and tags, and choose whether people may copy it.

  • Online motion design editor

Layers panel, canvas, dock, properties panel and keyframe timeline in the browser, with help tips that explain settings in place.

  • Layers and multi-select

Rename, group, hide, isolate and color-label layers, and change several at once from the properties panel.

  • Groups and pre-composition

Groups move and animate their layers together; Pre-compose draws a group as one flat picture so it fades and takes effects as a whole.

  • Search and command palette

⌘K finds layers, templates, settings, actions and help in one box, and hands anything else to the assistant.

  • Unlimited undo

Covers layers, settings, keyframes, clips and text; a camera move or a whole assistant turn undoes in one step.

  • Copy, paste and Paste style

Layers paste between projects and tabs with their keyframes; SVG pastes as paths, and HTML or React as live code layers.

  • Drag and drop

Drop images, video, GLB models, splats or Lottie files on the canvas, or drop a picture on a shape to fill it.

  • Notes on the canvas

Post-it notes for collaborators that travel with projects and templates but never appear in exports.

  • Keyboard shortcuts

Single keys for tools and views, such as P for the pen, T for text, D for 2D mode and Space to play.

  • Supported files and folder import

Images, video, audio, models, splats, Lottie, SVG, fonts, CSV, tokens, HDRIs and LUTs; a folder of up to 50 pictures becomes a grid.

  • Guided tour

Menu › Take the tour walks through the dock, layers, properties, timeline, assistant and export in six steps.

03

Animation and sound

Keyframes on any setting, curves and springs, transitions, masks and morphs, plus music, voice and captions on the same timeline.

  • Keyframes and timeline

Click the diamond beside any number or color to keyframe it; pieces run 1 to 60 seconds at 10 to 120 fps.

  • Easing curves and springs

23 presets in six groups, curves you reshape by their handles, pasted CSS cubic-bezier values, and springs that overshoot and settle.

  • Animate in and out

Fade, Rise, Drop, Scale, Pop, Slide or Blur entrances and exits in two clicks, as ordinary keyframes you can retime.

  • Squash, stretch and follow-through

Squash and stretch, anticipation, lean and a bounce on arrival, worked out from the layer's own movement.

  • Scene transitions

18 transitions for the start or end of a piece, including Whoosh in, Burn in, Flash frame and Projector start.

  • Clips and clip transitions

Fade, Slide, Push, Zoom or Zoom through on a layer's clip edge, applied to many layers at once with a stagger.

  • Shape morphing

Morph one layer into another, or a vector path between keyed outlines, point by point or reshaped smoothly.

  • Masks, iris wipes and lens reveals

Show a layer only where another covers it, or open the next scene inside a growing glass lens.

  • Motion paths

Carry a layer along a pen path, turning with the curve if you want, with its progress on its own keyframe lane.

  • Echo trails and flip cards

Fading copies trail a moving layer, and Make flip card builds a card with a front and a back.

  • Speed ramps and stop motion

Keyframe playback speed for slow motion or a freeze, and hold frames to animate on 12s inside a 30 fps video.

  • Audio tracks and mixing

Music, voiceover and sound effects as layers with waveforms, trimmed and faded, and mixed into MP4 and WebM exports.

  • Beat detection

Detect beats drops a marker on every beat and reports the tempo, so clips snap to the drum hits.

  • Captions and subtitle files

Captions from a voiceover's word timing, an SRT or WebVTT file, or a script, exported as SRT or WebVTT.

04

Questions about Paraplex's features

What can I do with Paraplex?

Paraplex is a 3D motion design studio that runs in the browser. You can make animated videos, social posts, product and app promos, data stories, website heroes and interactive embeds, with real 3D materials and light, animated type and charts, a cursor for product demos, and an AI assistant that builds and edits scenes from the same layers and keyframes you use.

Is everything in Paraplex real 3D?

Yes. Every Paraplex scene is a real 3D space with physically based materials, environment lighting, cast shadows, ambient occlusion and bounce light. Most templates face the camera like a flat slide until you want depth, and 2D design mode edits the scene like a flat design tool.

What does the AI assistant in Paraplex do?

The assistant builds and edits scenes with the editor's own building blocks: it adds and arranges layers, writes keyframes and camera moves, sets materials, charts data and captions voiceovers. Every turn is a preview you Apply or Discard, applied changes undo in one step, and everything it makes stays ordinary layers and keyframes you can edit by hand.

What files can I bring into Paraplex?

Paraplex reads images (JPEG, PNG, WebP, GIF and AVIF), video (MP4, WebM and more), audio (MP3, WAV and M4A), GLB and glTF models, Gaussian splats, Lottie, SVG, TTF and OTF fonts, CSV, design token files, HDRIs, LUTs and baked vertex animations. You can also paste HTML or a React component as a live code layer.

Can I edit Lottie files in Paraplex?

Yes. Drop a .json or .lottie file and Paraplex brings it in as native layers with their keyframes and easing, editable like anything drawn in Paraplex. You can also export the flat parts of a scene as a Lottie. Anything Lottie can't carry, such as 3D, lights, particles and camera moves, is listed rather than silently dropped.

Do I need to install anything to use Paraplex?

No. Paraplex runs in the browser with nothing to install, and every change is kept in the browser within about a second. Sign in and your projects follow you to any browser or computer, with a history of recent saves to restore.
